Lukashenko praises veteran employee during Planar visit

MINSK, 30 January (BelTA) – During his visit to Planar, one of the microelectronics leading companies, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko had a warm conversation with the enterprise’s longest-serving worker Viktor Ananich, who has dedicated over half a century to this production, BelTA has learned.

“One of our most qualified workers,” Planar Director General Sergei Avakov spoke of the employee.
Viktor Ananich has worked at the enterprise for 51 years in the position of “optician”. Aleksandr Lukashenko praised this labor achievement but emphasized the importance of training apprentices who will continue the work. It turns out that this is already being taken care of. Later, Viktor himself clarified that over the years he has trained eight specialists, three of whom are currently working at Planar specifically in optics.

“Therefore, we shouldn’t say that old-timers are incapable. Quite the opposite, they are highly capable!” the head of state stressed.

While speaking with the enterprise’s staff, Aleksandr Lukashenko also mentioned Viktor Ananich: “I saw the person. By appearance, he’s certainly not a young man. But what a spirit he has! Good for him! He comes in and does his job. So being young or old is up to you. As Natalya Kochanova [Chairperson of the Council of the Republic] put it, age is not years; it’s the state of one’s soul.”
