MINSK, 22 November (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has pardoned 31 Ukrainian citizens. The announcement was made to journalists by the president’s press secretary, Natalya Eismont, a BelTA correspondent reports.
“In furtherance of the agreements reached between U.S. President Donald Trump and Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, and at the request of the Ukrainian side, the president has pardoned 31 Ukrainian citizens who committed criminal offenses on the territory of our country,” stated Natalya Eismont. “This decision, a gesture of goodwill guided by humanitarian principles, aims to create the conditions for resolving the armed conflict in the neighboring state.”
