MINSK, 1 September (BelTA) – The moment of truth is coming in Ukraine soon, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said when answering questions from the participants of the open lesson "Historical memory is the way to the future!" in Minsk on 1 September, BelTA has learned.
"It is unclear what will happen in Ukraine. Russia can't lose, and America can't leave. They will fight. Ukrainians must have their say. Things in Ukraine no longer depend on the president. They depend on the military. They are dieing there. They see that this fight is futile. With regard Western Ukraine, well, Poles are already rubbing their hands. The Poles have been given the right to rule Ukraine. Have they gone crazy? Ukraine is being divided. Ukrainians have nothing to eat, but they are exporting food and grain to Europe. Is this normal?" the president said.
Aleksandr Lukashenko is sure that the conflict between the Ukrainian president and the military is already brewing. "Only the military can put it bluntly: 'Either we negotiate or Ukraine will be wiped off the face of the earth!'”the Belarusian leader said.
