Lukashenko makes new diplomatic, government appointments

MINSK, 13 October (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko announced new appointments on 13 October, BelTA has learned.

The head of state appointed:

Denis Duk – Rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus;

Sergei Shcherbakov – Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus;

Dmitry Derevinsky – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Colombia, the Republic of Panama, and the Republic of Ecuador, with concurrent accreditation;

Dmitry Krasovsky – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Uganda, with concurrent accreditation.

The president also approved the appointment of:

Aleksandr Komendant –First Vice Mayor of Minsk;

Aleksandr Novikov – Chairman of the Gomel District Executive Committee;

Vladimir Antonenko – Chairman of the Zhitkovichi District Executive Committee;

Denis Yadchenko – Chairman of the Narovlya District Executive Committee;

Nikolai Klimenok – Chairman of the Loyev District Executive Committee;

Yuri Kostolomov – Chairman of the Zelva District Executive Committee;

Andrei Gordei – Chairman of the Smorgon District Executive Committee;

Aleksandr Kurilo – Chairman of the Korelichi District Executive Committee;

Nadezhda Lazarevich – Chairperson of the Belarusian state concern for production and sale of light industry goods Bellegprom;

Tatiana Lugina – Director General of OAO Kamvol;

Andrei Soiko – Director General of OAO Belshina;

Oleg Kurilin – Director General of OAO Mogilevkhimvolokno;

Vitaly Sheleg – Director General of OAO Gomselmash;

Vladimir Mukvich – First Deputy Taxes and Duties Minister;

Olga Starovoitova – Deputy Taxes and Duties Minister;

Aleksei Stasyukevich – Deputy Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Minister;

Leonid Ryzhkovsky – Deputy Industry Minister;
