LYASKOVICHI, 4 October (BelTA) - Farming standards are important, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said during his working trip to Petrikov District of Gomel Oblast, BelTA has learned.
"You don’t plow the fields as you should. This indicates that either you are not aware of farming standards or you are not even looking in that direction. A field must be plowed from canal to canal. From the forest to the road. That is the agricultural standard,” the head of state said.
He pointed out that in the Polesie region, one can sometimes see completely unplowed fields, which were once arduously reclaimed from nature.
“I want to see farming culture and responsibility for keeping fields tilled,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said outlining his key requirement.
