MIKASHEVICHI, 5 October (BelTA) – Examples set by enterprising, persevering farmers, who use every bit of land smartly, should be followed. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement during a solemn ceremony held as part of the Dazhynki 2024 harvest festival in Mikashevichi to honor agrarians, BelTA has learned.
The day before the head of state had visited one of Brest Oblast’s best agricultural enterprises Parokhonskoye, which reports milk yields per cow in excess of 10,000kg. “I’ve been keeping an eye on this agricultural enterprise for over 20 years now. Since my first visit back in 2004. I am happy to report that year after year they steadily increase milk yield, weight gain, productivity of cereals, maize, and rapeseed, profit margins, and profits. They are always the district’s leader. But most importantly they always come up with something new. And they are one of the country’s top three agricultural enterprises. But the most precious thing for me is the fact that they have a system that works for more than 20,000 hectares of public land. First, they set up a shop to make briquettes. Then they set up a vegetable oil manufacturing line. Then they started making combined feed. Yesterday they demonstrated grass granules full of minerals and vitamins to me with pride.”
It is important that the agricultural enterprise has its own fodder base: cereals and grass. Full-cycle manufacturing is employed, including seed production. Even bee hives are available for pollination.
“I am glad that others are starting to replicate Parokhonskoye’s practices. It is necessary to follow the example of such people: enterprising, persevering farmers, who use every bit of land smartly,” the Belarusian leader stressed.
