Lukashenko encourages everyone to work and produce results against all odds

GRODNO, 6 August (BelTA) – Although the summer was hot in all respects, the main task remains unchanged - to keep working and produce results, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at a meeting hosted by the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee on 6 August, BelTA has learned.

“Although the summer was hot in all respects, our main task remains the same - to keep working and produce results. You know very well what is happening around Belarus, you have heard a lot about it, including from me. Tasks have been set, the system has been built, and today we will discuss how it is working by the example of Grodno Oblast,” the Belarusian leader said.

According to him, the meeting will focus on alarming trends in the region and the country as a whole. “Perhaps there are some problems. We should identify them and thrash them out in a timely manner. They have to do with the incessant pressure on Belarus, primarily economic pressure,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

“I always ask our top-level officials, the power vertical, the government, economic authorities to take care of the economy, make it grow. We will cope with all other issues, though they are just as challenging. The regional government officials fit well for their job. There is a representative of law enforcement, Yuri Karayev [Aide to the President - Inspector for Grodno Oblast, who previously led the Ministry of Internal Affairs] who went through these difficult times, who were in the very thick of it. There is a young person, a self-starter who knows what to do and is doing it. You should not lose momentum. And we will succeed,” the Belarusian leader stressed.

At the beginning of the meeting, Grodno Oblast Governor Vladimir Karanik delivered a report on harvesting, agriculture and agricultural industry. He pointed to an increase in exports, which shows that local products are in demand in foreign markets.
