MINSK, 3 January (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko urged to remember about the most important thing - the operation of the country's economic sectors as he spoke at the meeting with his authorized representatives in Minsk on 3 January, BelTA has learned.
“Remember about the main thing. We will hold the election. It is not a problem. But before the election, and especially afterwards, we will have our everyday routine. We need to get ready for the sowing campaign. We need to sow everything properly so that our people have a piece of bread on the table. Then, no election will be a problem for us. Economy comes first. The tasks that have been set so far remain relevant for us, including agriculture, industry, transport and other areas,” the Belarusian leader said.
He invited the participants of the meeting to outline the issues which need to be addressed. “We will determine together with you what to do in order to respond to the criticism and appeals of our people. There were about 500 appeals to those who collected signatures. We have analyzed all of them. There are no strategic problematic issues there. These are just usual everyday issues, including housing and utilities, transportation and roads. We will be addressing these issues,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
