MINSK, 14 May (BelTA) – I am confident that a bus assembly project in Zimbabwe is going to be a successful one, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with President Emmerson Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe in Minsk on 14 May, BelTA has learned.
“Industrial cooperation has been intensified. I am confident that the agreements signed in April this year on the establishment of a joint production of buses in Zimbabwe will be implemented,” the head of state said.
An agreement on the production, assembly and sale of buses was signed during the visit of the Belarusian delegation to Zimbabwe on 16 April. The signing of this agreement and the contract for the supply of MAZ buses to Zimbabwe was one of the outcomes of the meeting of the Belarusian-Zimbabwean joint standing commission for cooperation.
