Lukashenko chops firewood, holds hockey practice ahead of inauguration ceremony
MINSK, 25 March (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko chopped firewood and held an ice hockey training session ahead of his upcoming inauguration ceremony, press secretary of the Belarusian head of state Natalya Eismont told the First News Channel.
When asked about the head of state’s preparations for the inauguration, Natalya Eismont said: “There were no special preparations. At least, I don't know about them. I understand that journalists always expect to hear some behind-the-scenes details like what the president had for breakfast, how he geared up overnight.”
“I know for sure that the president chopped firewood. This is a traditional process. I also know that the president had a ice hockey practice, too. This is actually the head of state’s daily routine. The president did these things for sure,” the press secretary said.
