MINSK, 16 February (BelTA) - Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko shared his views on the tactics of US President Donald Trump during a meeting with State Secretary of the Belarus-Russia Union State Sergey Glazyev on 16 February, BelTA has learned.
“There’s no need to fret over his politics. He said it right away: peace through strength. His tactic is this: press, then pull back. That is his tactic. A strong country, a powerful one, a leader in the world. Well, that’s his tactic. There is no need to attack him, pressure him, and so on. I am not defending him here, but this is indeed the case. This is his tactic. We perceive this very clearly through our negotiations with the United States of America. We are able to resolve our matters in these negotiations,” the Belarusian leader said. “But under no circumstances do we resolve these matters at the expense of our kin and beloved Russia,” Aleksandr Lukashenko added.
