MINSK, 24 January (BelTA) - Belarus will always follow the path of true democracy and respect for human rights, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he attended the final concert of the Marathon of Unity campaign on 24 January, BelTA has learned.
“We will always follow the path of true democracy and respect for human rights. We must never deny anyone the opportunity to speak out. We must never force anyone to do something they do not want to do. I told you before: we will create a society of justice, where people respect each other and where they want to live,” the Belarusian leader stressed.
“Today, despite all the challenges, a myriad of opportunities lies before us, Belarusians. Dear friends, let us harness the opportunities together. We often miss opportunities and then become overwhelmed by other feelings, other aspects of life. And then we cannot catch up on what we did not do in time. This applies first of all to young people. Let us do everything in time! Together! Let us not waste time! Because time has chosen us!” the head of state said.
