
MINSK, 11 September (BelTA) – Belarus is always glad to welcome those who are focused on strengthening bridges of friendship and who respect the people and sovereignty of Belarus, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he received credentials from foreign ambassadors on 11 September, BelTA has learned.
“We are always glad to welcome those who are aimed at strengthening bridges of friendship and who respect the people and sovereignty of our country,” the head of state addressed the foreign diplomats.
The president emphasized that representatives of 130 nationalities and 25 confessions live in Belarus in peace and harmony: “Thanks to the policy of national unity we pursue and deep traditions of tolerance, we have no conflicts on ethnic or religious grounds. We cherish this and are proud of it.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko assured that Belarus adheres to a peace-loving foreign policy course, is set to expand its circle of friends, and is committed to a trustful dialogue and consideration of partners' interests.
