
MINSK, 3 July (BelTA) – Independence Day congratulations addressed to Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko and the Belarusian nation are being received from leaders of foreign states, international organizations, and integration associations, from political figures and public figures, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.
The Belarus president and the Belarusian people have been congratulated by the leaders of Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Türkiye, India, Pakistan, Israel, Serbia, Saudi Arabia, Oman, North Korea, Bahrain, Vietnam, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Myanmar, Thailand, South Africa, Algeria, Sri Lanka, Palestine, Sudan, and Chad.
Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia sent his congratulations.
Congratulatory messages also came from UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, SCO Secretary General Nurlan Yermekbayev, CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Bakytzhan Sagintayev, and CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov.
In his congratulatory message Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized that this holiday, commemorating the liberation of Minsk from Nazi invaders, has timeless significance for both Belarusians and Russians: “Fighting shoulder to shoulder, our nations made a decisive contribution to the victory over Nazism.”
“It is important that today, in the face of serious external threats and challenges, the bonds of brotherly friendship and mutual assistance that unite our countries remain as strong as ever. Russia and Belarus actively cooperate in various areas, coordinate their efforts in international affairs, and systematically improve the institutions of the Union State. I am confident that by working together, we will overcome any difficulties and further strengthen productive bilateral ties for the benefit of Russians and Belarusians and in the interests of ensuring stability and security in the Eurasian space. I wish you good health and success, and I wish happiness and prosperity to all the people of Belarus,” the congratulatory message from the Russian leader reads.
President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping addressed sincere congratulations and best wishes to Aleksandr Lukashenko and the friendly nation of Belarus. “Under your leadership Belarus has achieved social stability, economic development, and comprehensive progress in various areas of state building. As a good friend and reliable partner, the Chinese side is sincerely delighted with these achievements. Last month we held a friendly meeting in Beijing. I attach great importance to the advancement of Chinese-Belarusian relations and am ready to work with you to guide bilateral relations and mutually beneficial cooperation along the path of sustainable and long-term development,” the congratulatory message reads.
Xi Jinping also wished Aleksandr Lukashenko good health and all the best, the Republic of Belarus power and prosperity, and the Belarusian people happiness and prosperity.
Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wished Aleksandr Lukashenko further success in his responsible state activities and the people of Belarus well-being and prosperity. “Under your strong leadership Belarus has demonstrated significant success in social and economic development and in improving the prosperity of its people. The Kazakh nation has always held the brotherly Belarusian nation, its unique culture, and national traditions in high esteem and deep affection. Kazakhstan highly appreciates your personal contribution to strengthening the bonds of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries and firmly supports efforts aimed at taking Kazakh-Belarusian relations to a brand new level,” the Kazakh president emphasized.
Congratulations also came from the first president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. He noted that Belarus demonstrates stable development, strengthening of state sovereignty, and consistent progress on the path of modernization. “I am confident that your country will continue moving forward rapidly, strengthening its position in the international arena and securing new accomplishments,” the congratulatory message reads.
In his congratulatory message to Aleksandr Lukashenko, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the unprecedentedly high level of Uzbek-Belarusian relations achieved in recent years: “Mutually beneficial cooperation develops dynamically in all areas. Important programs of economic cooperation and cultural and humanitarian exchange are implemented. I am convinced that our future meetings will open up new opportunities for further expansion of the multifaceted partnership between Uzbekistan and Belarus.”
“Today, under your efficient leadership, Belarus successfully implements a strategy of large-scale reforms, ensuring the country’s sustainable social and economic development and improving the well-being of its people. I was able to see this once again during my recent visit to Minsk,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted.
Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that Azerbaijan and Belarus have traditionally close relations of friendship and mutual support. He wished Aleksandr Lukashenko good health, happiness, and success in state activities, and he wished Belarus prosperity and well-being. “I would like to note with satisfaction the high dynamics of cooperation between our countries, which is filled with new content every year. I am glad that we have been able to secure a good level in the development of the intergovernmental dialogue, in strengthening trade and economic cooperation, and in intensifying cultural and humanitarian ties. I am convinced that through joint efforts bilateral ties and mutually beneficial cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus will continue to expand and deepen dynamically in all areas in the spirit of strategic partnership in the interests of our friendly nations and countries,” the congratulatory message from the Azerbaijani leader reads.
Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon congratulated Aleksandr Lukashenko and the friendly Belarusian nation. “Tajikistan is sincerely happy about the achievements of its strategic partner in social and economic development and in strengthening its authority in the international arena. Multifaceted cooperation with friendly Belarus occupies a special place in Tajikistan’s foreign policy,” the congratulatory message reads. “I am confident that through joint efforts we will continue to strengthen our constructive interstate cooperation, fully utilizing the enormous potential of our bilateral relations.”
In his congratulatory message President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov noted that Kyrgyz-Belarusian cooperation steadily develops across the entire spectrum of bilateral relations as well as within the framework of regional and international organizations. “I am convinced that further deepening and expanding cooperation between our countries will contribute to strengthening friendship and increasing the prosperity of the nations of Kyrgyzstan and Belarus,” he noted.
Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedow sent sincere congratulations to the Belarusian head of state and the entire nation of the Republic of Belarus: “I am convinced that friendly relations between our countries will continue to grow stronger for the benefit of our peoples. Taking this opportunity, I sincerely wish you good health, happiness, and success, and I wish the people of the Republic of Belarus well-being and prosperity.”
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan sent his congratulations to the Belarusian head of state. “I am convinced that the value of multilateral and effective cooperation between our countries will increase even more during this period when regional and global events are gaining momentum. I sincerely hope that Turkish-Belarusian relations, which are based on mutual respect and a sincere dialogue, will move to an even higher level. Our bilateral relations are important not only for the prosperity of our countries and peoples, but also in the context of establishing peace and stability in our region,” the congratulatory message reads.
On behalf of the government and the people of India, and on her own behalf, Indian President Droupadi Murmu conveyed warm congratulations and best wishes to the president and people of Belarus: “India and Belarus are linked by warm and close ties marked by mutual respect, trust, and a shared desire to deepen our multifaceted relations. I am confident that our bilateral relations will continue to strengthen under your leadership and serve the interests of the peoples of our countries. I also convey to you my best wishes for good health as well as wishes for prosperity and success to the friendly people of the Republic of Belarus.”
In his congratulatory message Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif emphasized that the two countries have enjoyed sincere and friendly relations over the course of history. “I am delighted to see that, thanks to Your Excellency’s commitment, our friendship is transforming into a mutually beneficial economic partnership. I fondly recall our warm and productive discussions during my visit to the magnificent city of Minsk in April 2025. I would like to once again express my deep gratitude to Your Excellency for your leadership, which has enabled both sides to sign groundbreaking cooperation agreements,” the congratulatory message reads. “I look forward to working closely with you in the days ahead to further strengthen our multilateral cooperation. I pray for your good health, well-being, and happiness as well as for continued peace, progress, and prosperity for the friendly people of Belarus.”
Congratulations also came from Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari. He emphasized that Pakistan highly values the friendly and constructive relations between the two countries. The relations are based on mutual respect and shared aspirations for progress.
In his congratulatory message Israeli President Isaac Herzog spoke highly of the historical relations between the peoples of Belarus and Israel: “Israel is proud to have become home to a large number of immigrants from Belarus who have made an invaluable contribution to the construction of our state. For example, Chaim Weizmann, the first president of Israel and a great statesman, was born in the territory of modern Belarus. My wife Michal’s family also comes from Belarus. All these people and the Jewish community of Belarus serve as a living bridge that connects Israel and Belarus.”
“This year we have commemorated the 80th anniversary of the historic victory over the Nazi regime, and this event is of great significance to us. The Red Army, which included many Belarusian soldiers, played a decisive role in defeating this monstrous threat to peace and security of the entire world, and for this the Jewish people will always be grateful. On the day your country celebrates its independence, we want to remind you how much we value the ties that unite our peoples. In light of the many global challenges facing humanity, I hope that in the years to come, Belarus, together with all the countries and peoples of the world, will prosper and thrive in peace and security,” reads the congratulatory message from the Israeli president.
