DUSHANBE, 10 October (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko will definitely take part in an informal meeting of the leaders of the CIS states in December. The Belarus president’s Press Secretary Natalya Eismont made the statement on the sidelines of the session of the CIS Heads of State Council in Dushanbe, TASS reports.
Natalya Eismont noted: “[Aleksandr Lukashenko’s participation in informal meetings of the leaders of the CIS states] is a tradition of many years. Once the invitation is received, we will surely accept it.”
Previously during the narrow-format session of the CIS Heads of State Council President of Russia Vladimir Putin invited the CIS leaders to an informal summit due in St. Petersburg in late December.
