MINSK, 26 August (BelTA) – On 26 August Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed decree No.336 to grant Belarusian citizenship to 243 people, including 23 minors, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
These people arrived in Belarus for the sake of permanent residency more than five years ago. They successfully work in agriculture, civil engineering, transportation, in the sphere of services and trade, in the healthcare system, and the education system. Many of them have started a family here.
The new Belarusian citizens include individuals, who came from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Moldova, Russia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, and other countries.
