MINSK, 16 June (BelTA) – Letters of commendation from the Belarus president have been sent to a number of professors and students of the country’s higher education institutions. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed the relevant executive order on 16 June, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.
In recognition of fruitful scientific and pedagogical work, a considerable personal contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists, and the development of creative abilities in talented young people the president’s commendations have been bestowed upon seven pedagogues: Dmitry Voropayev, Associate Professor of the Chair of Theory and History of State and Law at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs; Marina Gutovskaya, Head of the German Linguistics Chair at Belarusian State University; Alla Kalina, Head of the Machine Science and Machine Parts Chair at Belarusian National Technical University; Fyodor Nazarov, Associate Professor of the Chair of Animal Husbandry Technologies and Mechanization and Agricultural Product Processing at Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University; Natalya Semchenko, Head of the Architecture and Construction Chair at Belarusian State University of Transport; Aleksandr Trofimuk, Head of the Fundamental Mathematics Chair at A.S. Pushkin State University of Brest, and Irina Shchurok, Associate Professor of the Clinical Immunology and Allergology Chair with a course at the Faculty of Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel at Vitebsk State Medical University named after A.S. Pushkin.
The president’s commendations have also been bestowed on a number of students from various higher education institutions of Belarus in recognition of their academic excellence and active public work. The 18 awardees include Aleksandr Abramchuk, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Radio Engineering and Electronics of Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics; Ratmir Grishchenko, a fifth-year student at the Faculty of Romanic Languages of Minsk State Linguistic University; Alesya Listopad, a fifth-year cadet at the Faculty of Civil Aviation of Belarusian State Aviation Academy, and Vitalina Soloshko, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Primary Education of Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank.
