Zakharova: Together Belarus and Russia can overcome any challenges, reach any heights

MOSCOW, 3 April (BelTA) - Together Belarus and Russia are able to overcome any challenges and reach any heights, spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said at a briefing for the press, BelTA has learned.

“2 April is widely celebrated as the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia. This significant holiday symbolizes the progressive integration process between the two countries that are building the Union State. It is a symbol of unbreakable friendship and unyielding will to unite our fraternal peoples,” said Maria Zakharova.

“Unity Day is widely celebrated throughout Russia and Belarus. The main festive events were traditionally held in both capitals of the countries on 2 April. In Moscow the new stage of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia hosted the Passionate Memory Diary by the Bolshoi Theater of Belarus. In Minsk a gala concert featured the Pyatnitsky Russian Folk Chorus and the Governor's Symphonic Chapel of Penza Oblast,” the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry said. 

“On behalf of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, well, and, of course, on behalf of all of us, we heartily congratulate all citizens of Russia and Belarus on this momentous holiday. We wish our common Union State progressive development, strengthening of sovereignty and authority in the international arena, prosperity, success in the realization of plans. We wish our residents strong health, happiness, prosperity, confidence in themselves and their abilities. Together we can overcome any challenges and reach any heights. Unity is the key to our success and victory,” Maria Zakharova emphasized.
