MOSCOW, 17 November (BelTA) – A joint meeting of the CSTO Ministerial Council, Defense Ministers Council and the Committee of Secretaries of the Security Councils will be held in Yerevan on 22-23 November, Deputy Director of the Information and Press Department at the Russian Foreign Ministry Ivan Nechaev told a briefing for the press, BelTA has learned.
"On 22-23 November, the Russian foreign minister will take part in a joint meeting of the CSTO Ministerial Council, the Defense Ministers Council and the Committee of Secretaries of the Security Councils. The event will be held in Yerevan prior to a regular session of the CSTO Collective Security Council," Ivan Nechaev said.
According to him, the parties are set to exchange views on the military-political situation in the regions of collective security of the CSTO and the activities of the organization in the inter-sessional period. “The meeting participants will consider a solid package of documents related to foreign policy, military and anti-terrorist cooperation within the framework of the organization aimed at strengthening and further developing the CSTO collective security system," Ivan Nechaev said.
"In the format of a joint meeting, it is also planned to approve a number of documents, including the final declaration, submitted for approval by the CSTO Collective Security Council," he added.
