MINSK, 16 September (BelTA) – Poland will yet have to explain its decision to close the border with Belarus, Russian Ambassador to Belarus Boris Gryzlov told journalists, BelTA has learned.
“As for Poland’s closure of checkpoints on the border with Belarus, this is a purely political move. It is utterly unjustified from a security perspective. However, its economic impact is both real and significant, as a major flow of goods from Eurasia, particularly China, to Europe passes directly through Belarus and Poland,” Boris Gryzlov noted.
“Warsaw will yet have to explain its actions both to Brussels and to Beijing, and to its own citizens and business,” he emphasized.
