MINSK, 28 June (BelTA) – Cooperation dynamics in the EAEU instill optimism, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a press conference following the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting, RIA Novosti reports.
“Our development strategy, which was scheduled to conclude this year, is reaching its end. We are thinking about how to structure our joint work going forward. But in general, the outcomes of our work are quite satisfying for all of us,” the Russian leader said.

He pointed out that the economies of the Eurasian Economic Union grew faster than the global average, which is attributed to the collaborative effort of the participating countries. “The EAEU experienced economic growth exceeding the global average. While the global average was 3.3%, the EAEU saw growth of more than 4%. And if I am not mistaken, in some countries, it was significantly bigger, like 5%, or even nearly 6%,” the Russian president remarked.
According to him, Russia was satisfied with the outcomes of the EAEU summit in Minsk. “We have summarized the results of our today’s meeting, the EAEU summit, and we can say that we are satisfied with the results,” TASS quoted the Russian head of state as saying.
Putin also announced that the next EAEU summit will be held in St. Petersburg in the run-up to the New Year.
