VITEBSK, 2 September (BelTA) – Uzbekistan’s parliamentary delegation arrived in Belarus to a very warm welcome, Chairwoman of Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva said at a meeting with Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova, BelTA has learned.
“We are very interested in promoting inter-regional contacts. I have never been to Vitebsk before, so I am very happy to be here. As soon as we set foot on Belarusian soil, we felt at home. We arrived to a very warm welcome. It feels great,” Tanzila Narbaeva noted.
