Moscow hosts Belarus-Russia ministerial consultations on international cooperation

MINSK, 10 April (BelTA) – On 9 April Moscow hosted Belarus-Russia regular ministerial consultations at the level of deputy foreign ministers with the participation of the permanent representatives of Belarus and Russia to the OSCE, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Belarusian delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Igor Sekreta, and the Russian delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Grushko. During the consultations, the diplomats discussed global and pan-European security.

They exchanged views on promising areas of interaction within the OSCE and discussed the state of affairs and coordination of actions in relation to the EU, NATO, the Council of Europe, and subregional associations.

The day before, Igor Sekreta held consultations with Director of the Foreign Policy Planning Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Alexei Drobinin to thrash out measures to promote the initiative of the Eurasian Charter of Diversity and Multipolarity in the 21st Century, including at III Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security, which will be held this autumn.
