MINSK, 27 November (BelTA) - Russia was prepared for any developments; the country has the means to respond to threats, including super-weapons, Chairwoman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko said at a plenary session, TASS informs.
"We have a tool, namely super-weapons, to give a tangible and unavoidable response,” Valentina Matviyenko noted. “It’s not us who is escalating the situation, but unfortunately, we have to respond," she added.
Matviyenko described the address by Russian President Vladimir Putin and the use of Oreshnik as the most powerful act of modern geopolitics. According to her, the Russian leader’s message about weapons was received and understood by all those it was intended for. The speaker of the Federation Council also urged to be prepared for reckless steps by the West.
