MINSK, 11 November (BelTA) - Belarus and the UAE should intensify cooperation in the humanitarian sector, Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova said as she met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UAE to Belarus Ibrahim Salim Mohamed Almusharrekh on 11 November, BelTA has learned.
“Today our countries enjoy really good relations in political, economic and humanitarian aspects. Of course, we would like to intensify these relations in the humanitarian field. We have held days of culture. The previous ones took place in 2019. It would be great to see this good tradition resumed. We are ready to host UAE Days of Culture in Belarus,” Natalya Kochanova said.
According to her, Belarus is sincerely grateful to the United Arab Emirates for the good relations that bind our countries and for the support of the country in the international arena. “I would like to stress once again that Belarus greatly values the good relations between the two countries. We are ready for cooperation across all the areas. I sincerely wish you successful work in Belarus and expect that our country will become your new homeland and you will do everything to ensure that these good relations will keep strengthening for the benefit of our countries and peoples,” the speaker said.
