Growing trade with Belarus: Indonesia-EAEU cooperation discussed in Kazakhstan

MINSK, 5 February (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kazakhstan Aleksei Bogdanov participated in a business meeting held at the Embassy of Indonesia in Kazakhstan on 5 February, the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Astana told BelTA.

The meeting was dedicated to the signing of a free trade agreement between Indonesia and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). In attendance were ambassadors from all EAEU member states as well as representatives from Kazakhstan’s Ministry of National Economy.

In his remarks, Aleksei Bogdanov highlighted the positive dynamics in bilateral trade and economic relations.

The ambassador expressed confidence that the newly signed free trade agreement between Indonesia and the EAEU will allow Indonesia to significantly increase trade turnover with Belarus and all EAEU countries.
