MOSCOW, 13 December (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Vladimir Semashko met with Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Russia Mohammed Ahmed Sultan Issa Al Jaber in Moscow on 13 December, the press service of the Belarusian embassy told BelTA.
The ambassadors discussed a number of items on the bilateral agenda and the international one. High dynamics of the political dialogue between the Republic of Belarus and the United Arab Emirates at all levels was mentioned. Intensive advancement of trade, economic, and investment cooperation was stressed.
Vladimir Semashko conveyed congratulations to the UAE side on the successful organization of the World Expo 2020 in Dubai. He briefly informed about the visit of Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko to the UAE on 22 November. The prime minister went to the UAE to participate in Belarus' National Day at Expo 2020 and in the opening of a Belarusian investment forum. The ambassador also mentioned the prime minister's meetings with top UAE officials during the visit. The sides confirmed the mutual intention to advance relations of friendship and cooperation between Belarus and the UAE and maintain further constructive interaction at international platforms. Vladimir Semashko and Mohammed Ahmed Sultan Issa Al Jaber agreed to maintain working contacts.
