MINSK, 29 October (BelTA) - The Eurasian Charter for Multipolarity and Diversity in the 21st Century is aimed at ensuring peaceful coexistence across the vast Eurasian space, Belarus' Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Holy See, Yury Ambrazevich, said during a session of the 3rd Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security, BelTA has learned.
There has been no single document in Eurasia that would framework or politically encompass this vast space from Lisbon to Hanoi, Yury Ambrazevich. Said. “The geographical contours of Eurasia have been defined in multiple ways throughout history. and in different periods, voices have been raised in support of such a unifying idea. The idea of the Eurasian Charter for Multipolarity and Diversity in the 21st Century is based precisely on this large-scale concept. It aims to create a common foundation of unified principles that promote peaceful coexistence across this entire vast space. This is especially important given the rapid changes in the world and the rise of Asia, which balances European civilization," he emphasized.

Traditionally, roles on the international stage have been well-established - developed countries, others developing, the ambassador noted. But now these boundaries are blurring, and all countries are actively developing. "Therefore, a base, a foundation is needed to preserve the potential for peace and constructive engagement, which would allow for the development of transport corridors, customs cooperation, logistics, and transit. The main goal is to ensure the sustainable development of all countries and to prevent armed conflicts,” Yury Ambrazevich said.
