MINSK, 5 July (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu during the SCO summit on 5 July, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Belarusian foreign minister thanked his Kazakhstan’s counterpart for the consistent support for Belarus’ aspirations to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The foreign ministers discussed in detail promising avenues of interaction within the SCO and a schedule of joint events for the near future.
They emphasized the friendly and strategic nature of bilateral relations and reaffirmed mutual commitment to keep strengthening cooperation for the benefit of the people of Belarus and Kazakhstan.
The ministers also held one-on-one negotiations to discuss the current issues on the international agenda.
