
MINSK, 8 July (BelTA) – BRICS should establish fair and equitable governance of artificial intelligence technologies, Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov said following the 17th BRICS Summit Session in Rio de Janeiro, BelTA has learned.
According to the minister, being a country with a highly developed IT sector, Belarus is keen to engage in discussions with BRICS on artificial intelligence and the ethical, social, and economic challenges it poses. This issue was raised by the Brazilian side at the summit.
“BRICS should assume responsibility for creating fair and equitable governance of artificial intelligence technologies. We fully support this position of Brazil’s presidency,” Maksim Ryzhenkov said.
