MINSK, 29 October (BelTA) – Belarus is ready to support Syria’s efforts to ensure sovereignty and territorial integrity, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov said as he met with Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bassam Sabbagh in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
"Syria is a reliable partner of Belarus in the Middle East, and we are concerned over the developments in and around Syria. We have great respect for the Syrian people. Belarus supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Syrian state. We stand ready to continue to provide the necessary support in these matters. Our country stands for peace, de-escalation and an end to the bloodshed," the Belarusian top diplomat said.
