MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) - Belarus is concerned over NATO's recent statements, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said on the air of the ONT TV channel on 13 June, BelTA has learned.
“We are absolutely concerned over these recent statements by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. Just a few days ago, he expressed concern over deeper ties between Minsk and Moscow, saying that they see it as a threat to the alliance's eastern flank. They are also concerned about closer cooperation between Moscow and Beijing. They also see it as a threat," Vladimir Makei said.
At the same time, he noted that Belarus does not sound the alarm about closer cooperation between NATO countries or their efforts to strengthen cooperation with third states. “Does it all mean that we should stay silent while they will react to a minor event and tell us how to live," the minister added.
