Dodik: NATO is no longer a guarantor of security

MINSK, 28 October (BelTA) – NATO long ago ceased to be a security guarantor,  President of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats of the Republika Srpska (entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina) Milorad Dodik said at the 3rd Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security on 28 October, BelTA has learned.
NATO has become an instrument of political pressure, Milorad Dodik emphasized. “In the Balkans, that was just a training exercise before what they are now doing to Russia. It is absolutely clear to us what is happening now. Of course, it is all a desire to seize resources,” he believes.

He is convinced that Europe looks like a project heading for its collapse. “Today there is not a single strong leader who can gather them all around himself. There is no raw material, no energy resources. Europe tried to bluff with its values. When you resist having textbooks talk about ‘Parent No.1’ and ‘Parent No.2’ instead of a father, who is a man, and a mother, who is a woman, then you are excluded from the entire process. Your project funding is cut, which leads to isolation,” Milorad Dodik said.

In his opinion, there is only one country in the West with a strong leader – Hungary. “Prime Minister Viktor Orbán demonstrates the ability to govern his country sovereignly, while being inside Europe but remaining independent. Budapest and Hungary are demonstrating a policy of common sense and emotional responsibility. This is a policy of peace and stability that can save thousands of lives worldwide,” the representative of Republika Srpska believes. “Multipolarity is not a threat, but an opportunity. Therefore, the Republika Srpska resolutely supports the ideas of developing a Eurasian Charter for Multipolarity and Diversity. This is a document that guarantees the right of every country to choose its own path without mentors and pressure. This is the path of peace, for only free nations can live in a stable world.”
He is convinced that the arms race today leads not to security, but to new crises. “Instead of building walls and military bases, we must build trust,” Milorad Dodik emphasized.
