MINSK, 3 December (BelTA) – The harmonization of the national legislations for the sake of implementing Union State integration programs will proceed as seamlessly and as effectively as possible, BelTA learned from Chairwoman of the Economy, Budget, and Finance Commission of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Tatiana Runets.
The senator described the 61st session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia in Minsk as a historic event. During the session Belarusian and Russian MPs demonstrated their unity, adherence to the same ideals, and an uncompromising attitude to the lies and double standards Belarus and Russia face to countries of the collective West. Tatiana Runets said that participants of the session passed a statement addressed to European MPs. The statement clearly specifies that the irresponsible government policy of Western countries, efforts to inflate the conflict at the Belarusian border with the European Union and blame Belarus for the migrant crisis must be adequately evaluated by competent international agencies and organizations. “This is why it is extremely important to use the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the European Parliament, and other respected bodies to spread our views,” the senator said.
Tatiana Runets also described the beginning of the practical implementation of the 28 Union State integration programs, which the presidents of Belarus and Russia signed in November, as a key aspect of the 61st session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.
Tatiana Runets went on saying: “Union State MPs started actively working on developing the legal framework and harmonizing the regulatory acts of both countries. It will ultimately have an effect on the wellbeing of the peoples of Belarus and Russia, on the quality of life of every citizen of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. We, parliamentarians of the two countries, will do our best for the process of harmonization of the national legislations to proceed as seamlessly and as effectively as possible.”
