MINSK, 22 January (BelTA) - The Belarusian party Belaya Rus and the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar have signed a roadmap for cooperation, BelTA has learned.
The document was signed by Chairwoman of the Belarusian party Belaya Rus Olga Chemodanova and Chairman of the Union Solidarity and Development Party of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Khin Yi. The document outlines specific steps aimed at implementing the provisions of the agreement on interaction and cooperation between the two parties, which was signed on 16 May 2025.
“The roadmap specifies various areas we discussed when signing the cooperation and interaction agreement. We intend to strengthen political dialogue and develop economic and humanitarian ties at the inter-party level. We devoted significant attention to educational matters, including the possibility of Myanmar's youth receiving education in Belarus. I am confident that a number of issues on our agenda will form the framework for promising projects,” Olga Chemodanova noted.
The parties have agreed to hold events in five main areas of cooperation. Primarily, the parties will regularly exchange information and analytical materials, including reviews of key political and socio-economic events. The second area involves organizing a series of thematic seminars dedicated to the structure of party apparatuses and methods of political training. An important aspect will be discussing successful practices in implementing local party projects in the fields of social support, urban improvement, or patriotic education.
