MINSK, 25 March (BelTA) – In response to a post by German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock on X, Belarus’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised her to focus on the problems of the German people, BelTA reports.
“In Belarus, only voters decide on the future of the country. Our people have made their choice and voted for a free, peaceful, prosperous country. That’s why Aleksandr Lukashenko who was elected by the BELARUSIAN people has been sworn in as president today,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a post on X.
"Ms Baerbock had better focus on the problems of her own people. Especially since the current government's political course is anti-popular and does not inspire optimism among ordinary German citizens," the ministry added.
In her post, the German minister wrote about "the courage of Belarusians, who have long been fighting for a free Belarus - free from arbitrariness and oppression." "People are defending a free Europe under the most unfavorable circumstances, and we will not leave them alone," Annalena Baerbock said.
