Belarusian delegation led by Turchin arrives in Russia’s Tatarstan

MINSK, 26 May (BelTA) - A Belarusian government delegation led by Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin has arrived in Tatarstan, Russia, BelTA has learned.

The prime minister is set to visit three cities: Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, and Yelabuga.
Today, Aleksandr Turchin is also scheduled to hold talks with Tatarstan’s Head Rustam Minnikhanov and tour key industrial enterprises.

First of all, Aleksandr Turchin and Rustam Minnikhanov visited MTZ-Tatarstan, a key enterprise engaged in the production of tractors and special-purpose machinery. Since 2010, a total of 24,238 units of equipment have rolled off the company's assembly line. The enterprise makes tractors and utility vehicles, is involved in wholesale trade in agricultural machinery and spare parts, repair and maintenance. The production of the following products has been localized: low-hood cabins, high-pressure hoses, hydraulically rotated blades and buckets, and instrument panels.
MTZ-Tatarstan plans to launch the production of tractors Belarus-1025.4, Belarus-2022.4, Belarus-1523.4, Belarus-1220.4 and Belarus-952.4 that comply with environmental standards not lower than STAGE-ZA, as well as cabins, transmissions and other component parts. The goal of the investment project is to set up the production of tractors that will be localized on the Russian market.

Aleksandr Turchin and Rustam Minnikhanov also visited the KAMAZ production facility and discussed prospects for cooperation. Belarusian key partners of the enterprise are Avtokomponenty, MAZ, BMK, BelOMO, MPOVT and Minsk Bearing Plant. The enterprises of the Avtokomponenty holding have already launched the production of 17 new items for KAMAZ.

KAMAZ and MAZ jointly developed a dual-circuit steering system, stability control system, disc brake mechanisms and brake chambers, pneumatic suspension control system, and modern clutch solutions. This partnership strengthens technological independence and opens new opportunities for both manufacturers.
The Belarusian prime minister test-drove the KAMAZ-5491, a latest-generation K5 truck.
