MINSK, 20 November (BelTA) – Vladimir Borovikov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, has met with Le Ngoc Chau, Chairman of the People's Committee and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Hai Phong, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Vietnam.
The parties emphasized the need to intensify interregional ties and outlined prospects for their expansion within the framework of their strategic partnership. The priorities for bilateral relations were defined as the development of trade and economic cooperation and the organization of mutual business delegation visits. The discussion also covered the implementation of joint projects in tourism, education, science, and culture.
Diplomatic relations between Belarus andVietnam were established on 24 January 1992. Bilateral political cooperation, grounded in a long-standing tradition of friendship, trust, and mutual understanding, is progressing dynamically, with a sustained high-level dialogue.
