MINSK, 9 January (BelTA) – Belarus’ delegation led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov is in Myanmar on a visit, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On 8-9 January Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov is leading a Belarusian delegation on an official visit to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar, the ministry said.
As BelTA reported earlier, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko extended Independence Day greetings to Prime Minister of Myanmar, Chairman of the State Administrative Council Min Aung Hlaing on 4 January.
The head of state reiterated interest in the rapid realization of the significant potential of cooperation between Belarus and Myanmar in trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian sectors, and also in identifying new opportunities for rapprochement between the two countries.
