MINSK, 1 August (BelTA) - Hungary continues to uphold a constructive stance towards Belarus, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Hungary Vladimir Ulakhovich said in an interview to Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.
“Hungary is the country that maintains a constructive approach toward Belarus within the EU, both in interstate relations and political matters. Everyone is well aware of Hungary's position on sanctions, for instance. We maintain normal, constructive dialogue and relations with governmental institutions, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - unlike some other countries where, unfortunately, such communication with us is absent,” Vladimir Ulakhovich said.
He also commented on Belarus' broader relations with the EU. “Belarus still has many friends in Europe. This is not just rhetoric, it is a fact. Ordinary people, upon learning that we represent our country, always treat us with respect,” the ambassador emphasized.
