MINSK, 13 June (BelTA) - Belarus and Kazakhstan remain strategic partners in the face of external pressure, Ambassador of Belarus to Kazakhstan Pavel Utyupin said in an interview to Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.
Responding to the question about cooperation under the external pressure, Pavel Utyupin said: “Belarus and Kazakhstan have been and will remain strategic partners. The level of relations between the two heads of state, contacts at the governmental level and in the business community testify to that. In my opinion, the $20 million worth contracts recently signed [during the visit of the Belarusian delegation to Kazakhstan] confirm that we are strategic partners.”
Belarus and Kazakhstan have long-term agreements. “We have a strong foothold in Kazakhstan. We are talking about well-known Belarusian brands - MTZ, MAZ, Bobruiskagromash and others. We do not just trade, but develop production cooperation with our Kazakhstan partners. For example, tractor production in Kazakhstan increased from 1.5 to 2.9 times in 2021 - we have three production sites there,” the ambassador said.
