Ambassador: All-round partnership with Belarus is among Kyrgyzstan’s foreign policy priorities

MINSK, 28 August (BelTA) – The comprehensive development and strengthening of partnership and friendship with Belarus is one of the priorities of Kyrgyzstan’s foreign policy, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Belarus Erbol Sultanbaev said during an event to mark Kyrgyzstan’s Independence Day and the opening of a Kyrgyz photo exhibition at the House of Friendship on 28 August, BelTA has learned.

The ambassador stated: “In recent years, thanks to the efforts of the leaders of our two countries, Sadyr Japarov and Aleksandr Lukashenko, Kyrgyzstan‑Belarus cooperation has gained new momentum, opening up great opportunities for both countries. Our bilateral relations are built on traditionally friendly ties, rooted in our shared heroic history. Our fathers and grandfathers, fighting side by side during the Great Patriotic War, defended the right of our peoples to live and develop. No less important is the fact that our peoples are very close in spirit.”
The diplomat expressed confidence that the two countries have all the necessary prerequisites to intensify cooperation and bring it to a higher level.

“Today, our cooperation is based on a solid legal and institutional foundation,” he noted.
