Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko attended the inauguration ceremony for the Mogilev Oblast Glory Museum on 5 July. The head of state studied the museum’s exposition, talked to representatives of labor collectives, the public and the youth of Mogilev and Mogilev District. The Mogilev Oblast Glory Museum is located in Mogilev District next to the legendary Buinichi Field, where the fiercest battles took place at the initial stage of the Great Patriotic War. The museum was initially conceived to commemorate military glory, but its concept was later expanded. Now the exposition documents not only the military past, but also the history of the region, its milestones and achievements.
