
On the initiative of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, the State Security Committee of the Republic of Belarus, and veteran organizations, a memorial chapel has been erected in Krupki District during the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. Constructed under the charitable program The Silent Echo of War on the site of a 1944 battle where Vasily Chebotaryov, an operational officer of the special Smersh detachment, perished. A symbolic Memory Alley of coniferous trees was also planted during the event.
