Divine Liturgy and procession were held in Minsk to mark the Day of Slavonic Writing and Culture on 24 May.
The holiday is celebrated in memory of the creators of the Slavonic alphabet and the first translators of liturgical books into the Slavonic language - Equal-to-the-Apostles Methodius and Cyril.
The Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Holy Spirit Cathedral, one of the sacrariums of which was consecrated in honor of the Equal-to-the-Apostles brothers. The Divine Liturgy was led by Bishop Avksenty of Nesvizh, vicar of the Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus.
