The visit of the delegation from the Ugandan Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries, led by State Minister for Animal Industry Bright Rwamirama, began with an introduction to the capabilities of the Belarusian agricultural machinery manufacturer. This is the first visit of the delegation to the enterprise. The main area of interest is agricultural engineering.
“We are here today to explore the possibility of such cooperation. We are also considering opportunities for exporting coffee and tea from Uganda to Belarus. We see broad prospects for agricultural cooperation. The meeting between the prime minister and the president discussed the prospects for developing and strengthening Belarus-Africa interaction. At this high level, it was agreed to organize such visits to assess the potential for partnership with specific enterprises. Many common interests have been identified, and agricultural machinery is among them,” Bright Rwamirama explained, thanking the Belarusian leader for this opportunity.
“We are ready to scale up cooperation in the interests of our two economies. I am certain of a successful outcome,” he emphasized. In particular, given the specific needs of the agricultural sector, the delegation expressed interest in grain harvesters.
Yuri Sivakov, Deputy Director of the Sales and Service Center - Head of the Sales Department (Non-CIS Countries) of Gomselmash, noted the significant work done by the company to diversify its sales markets, which has been intensified over several years. The African continent is one of the promising areas.

Our product line includes machinery that is in demand on the African continent, such as the GS12 and GS400 models. For next year, there are projects planned for Botswana, Ghana, and others,” he said.
The delegation’s itinerary also includes visits to the enterprises Gomelagrokomplekt and Znamya Rodiny.
