Strong demand for municipal, road machines in Belarus, abroad

PINSK, 1 March (BelTA) – Belarusian municipal machines and road construction and maintenance machines are in demand on the domestic market and in partner countries, BelTA learned from Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko during a working trip to Pinsk on 1 March.

In particular, on 1 March Roman Golovchenko visited ZAO Amkodor-Pinsk, which makes road construction and maintenance machines, municipal vehicles, snow removing machines, and earthmovers. The head of government was interested in the company’s development prospects and the realization of import-substituting projects. The prime minister remarked: “There is no doubt we make enough. Nevertheless, the enterprise constantly works to expand the lineup on offer. They are perfectionists in this regard. They create a machine, look for ways to make it better, and get down to making the next model right away. On the one hand, it is good. On the other hand, it requires large financial investments. But on the whole, the lineup of road construction machines, municipal machines, and civil engineering machines is very extensive. As a matter of principle, it is fit for any needs,” he remarked.

Roman Golovchenko stressed the importance of the fact that Belarusian manufacturing enterprises had previously been preserved despite calls to the contrary. It is probable that foreign manufacturers would have occupied this market niche otherwise. Belarusian machines and vehicles are in demand now. “They are in demand not only in our country. The Eurasian Economic Union market is a key destination for these vehicles and machines. Actually such a broad product lineup helps us a lot with operating on the markets of our partners these days,” he stressed.
