MINSK, 9 March (BelTA) - The volume of state financial support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in 2025 exceeded Br16 billion, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Economy Ministry.
“This was facilitated by the government’s systematic work to improve the accessibility of resource support for SMEs. The actual volume of funds allocated to businesses for development at the end of last year exceeded planned targets by more than a third,” the press service said.
The instruments of the Belarusian Fund for Financial Support of Entrepreneurs - loans, leasing, and guarantees - were in high demand. In total, the fund financed 108 projects.
Bank lending to small and medium-sized businesses increased by almost 40%. Over 8,500 SME entities received accessible capital.
“Thus, favorable conditions have been established for obtaining state financial support for promising business projects, and this support is in high demand among businesses,” the economy ministry said.
