MINSK, 18 August (BelTA) – In January-July 2021 the retail trade
in Belarus amounted to Br33.2 billion, up 0.4% year-on-year in
comparable prices, BelTA learned from the National Statistical
Committee.
Wholesale trade totaled Br72.3 billion, up 8% over January-July 2020.
Over this period, one-day per capita retail sales were estimated at Br16.7, vs. Br15.1 in January-July 2020.
Retail trade outlets accounted for 92.3% of retail trade. In January-July 2021, they reported Br30.7 billion in retail trade volume, up 1.2% over the same period of last year in comparable prices.
In January-July 2021, the turnover of the public catering industry totaled Br1.8 billion, up 18.5% over the same period of last year in comparable prices.
