MINSK, 16 February (BelTA) - In January 2026 retail trade in Belarus totaled Br7.9 billion, up 1.2% from the same period of last year in comparable prices, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee of Belarus.
One-day retail sale volume per capita came at Br28.1 as against Br25.8 in the previous year.
Retail outlets accounted for 95.8% of retail sales. In January 2026 they reported Br7.6 billion in retail sale volume, up 1.5% as against the same period of 2025.
In January 2026 wholesale trade amounted to Br12.3 billion, or 90.8% year-on-year in comparable prices.
Trade by public catering outlets totaled Br570 million or 96.9% as against the same stretch a year ago.
